About Mezepoli – Melrose Arch
Plaka’s trendsetting concept – Mezepoli is a new signature restaurant to The Plaka Group. A variation to its sister eatery Plaka, the much-loved modern Greek classic, Mezepoli is perfectly situated on the upmarket Melrose Arch’s Piazza. It’s destined to bring alive the best in urban dining, an experience that is at once timeless and right on trend.
“Mezepoli offers no-fuss urban dining at its most chic,” says Plaka Group CEO Angelo Haitas. “It’s the perfect place to cut loose in a busy working day, offering a quick meal-on-the go or simply a place to kick back and linger a while.”
Mezepoli’s menu is ‘world meze’. Drawn from the culinary cultures of the Mediterranean and the Middle East, Mezepoli offers an innovative style of dining. “Simple, fresh and flavourful, its contemporary menu makes for a social experience in the true Mediterranean way,” he says. “Our patrons can enjoy a variety of olives, pita, cheese, stuffed vine leaves and other prêt a manger food of the moment.”
While the menu is predominantly Greek, it includes the exciting flavours and colours of Spanish tapas and the freshest dim sums of the East, all served as starters. This choice of uncomplicated, traditional food is perfect for the busy urbanite with a sophisticated, adventurous palate.
“All our dishes are pared down and simple,” says Haitas. “Flavours are unmasked and pure, so that every ingredient can be savoured, while also making for easy mixing and matching of the dishes. Mezepoli dining is about simply loving the moment sip wine by the glass or a cocktail while enjoying the delectable variety of meze.”
A leader in Greek dining, the restaurant’s decor echoes elegant simplicity and unquestionable sophistication: cool white spaces with splashes of cool Mediterranean blue create an atmosphere of tranquillity. “It’s a haven for the city slicker,” says Haitas, “it’s about the food of the moment enjoyed in the moment.”
